The upper/lower plates have a V-groove guide surface. Steel balls are used as the rolling elements, while magnets are used to attract the plates.

These products use grease. AFF grease (THK CO., LTD.) is used on VB stage.

These products contain resin (polycarbonate) and are therefore not suited for use in a vacuum.

This is installed to improve the planar accuracy of the table upper surface. Removing the spacer will cause the guide (dovetail) to open and may reduce both table upper surface accuracy and knob operation due to a structural issue with the product.

The permissible moment of TRS-612 has not been measured. The load of the moment will be greater if installed vertically, compared with the same product installed horizontally. There is no clamp mechanism, and it would be difficult to secure it sufficiently in place after moving, which could cause it to turn under an unbalanced load. We therefore recommend using a gear-type product (TRS-627 to TRS-147-2). Doing so will lessen the impact of the unbalanced load after positioning.

The size can be changed as a special order. However, simply changing the size will also reduce the inclination angle and feed pitch amount. Please confirm the specifications before doing so.

The product will no longer be covered under warranty if used in excess of the load capacity. Doing so could prevent the spring inside the fine movement clamp area from working.

It does indicate accuracy over the entire travel range.

Thin VB stages should always be installed horizontally. Thin VB stages have a simple structure with magnets on either side of the V-groove and balls. Vertical installation could open a gap between the V-groove and balls and result in failure if a load exceeding the magnetic force is applied due to an unbalanced load.

Adjustments are made based on the guide preload and movements of the stage, so please do not perform your own adjustments.

A worm gear with approximately 49 minutes (') per single rotation of the knob is used. Measurement to an accuracy of 5 minutes is possible using a vernier scale. However, it is possible for this product to move a slightly finer degree when feeding. There is no way to measure a travel amount less than 5 minutes, so this cannot be measured as sensitivity.

The travel amount when inclined is approximately slightly higher than ±5 mm.

Goniometer stages that also allow clamping are available for use as stages for knurling.

It cannot be used for applications in which it will be exposed to liquid.

The "load capacity" is defined as the uniform load that can be loaded onto the manual stage surface. Applying too large of an unbalanced load could cause severe abrasion of sliding parts and result in damage.

There is a coil spring inside, which makes the product easily susceptible to external vibration. First, ensure each axis is clamped during use. This can be further improved by placing an anti-vibration table or similar device on the table to isolate the source of vibration.

We recommend using a tool in the clamp screw slot to tighten it.

It can be used while mounted on a wall. The permissible load will be roughly one third of the figure listed in the catalog. However, we recommend installing the load directly above the table to prevent unbalanced loads to the degree that is possible.

The hole in the table surface can be enlarged up to φ30 (additional work will be required).

As a general standard, a torque of 80 cN⋅m (M4) or 280 cN⋅m (M6) is required to secure a sample in place.

TLS-4042-CR1 is available, but there are differences in the positional relationship between the micrometer and the spring and table. Install so that the micrometer faces downward if using TLS-4042 installed vertically.

This can be handled as a special order. There is no model number for this. When ordering, please indicate "reversed structure" under additional instructions.

The load capacity is 3 kg, so using it in this way would not cause the stage to become misaligned.

Coarse movement clamping on a rotary stage uses a structure in which the rotary table with bearing is secured at the M3 screw point, and the mechanism is susceptible to strong centrifugal forces applied from outside the rotary table surface.

Perform rough positioning using coarse movement, and then perform coarse movement clamping. Next, use the micrometer to perform fine adjustment, and then perform fine movement clamping. A degree of force will be applied to the table surface if fine movement clamping is not performed, which will cause the stage to move.

We offer TLV-112, which is a standard product capable of moving a maximum of 100 mm (±50 mm).

This can be rotated by loosening the hex socket screw and nut on the micrometer platform. Be careful when doing so, as the table surface is pulled by a spring.

Flipping the Z bracket 180° would have no effect on accuracy. You would then want to refer to the "verticality" and "verticality of motion" specifications.

There is a φ20 hole in the base side that can be used as a transmission hole.

The load capacity when ceiling-suspended would be roughly half the permissible load listed in the catalog, based on the structure. However, this is not a guaranteed value.

The table surface is made from brass, so a magnet cannot be attached. A steel spacer would need to be prepared separately.

The table and dovetail groove area are made from an aluminum alloy. The knob is made from ABS resin. The pinion area is made from free-cutting steel and is therefore magnetic. Other materials include brass, stainless steel, and nickel screws.

The tightening torque will be 0.63 N⋅m when calculated based on the screw size (M3) used for the clamp. This product uses a gear-type (high-torque) drive mechanism, so the movement knob can be turned easily even when clamped. Be sure not to touch the knob after positioning.

The mechanism uses a magnet to link the base area with the table area. It can therefore be separated simply by applying force. A 20 mm x 5 mm x 2 mm neodymium magnet is used. Although we do not measure magnetic flux density, we can provide some reference values. The residual magnetic flux density is from 1000 mT to 1400 mT, while magnetic flux density is from 98 mT to 140 mT at the bottom surface (distance of 1.9 mm) and from 48 mT to 70 mT at the table surface (distance of 4 mm).

An accuracy tolerance has not been set for the scale (main scale/vernier scale). There would likely be an allowable error of around ±0.1° (general tolerance) per single gradation for either a main scale or vernier scale.

The load capacity listed in the catalog assumes the product is installed horizontally. We are unable to provide exact values for products that are wall-mounted or ceiling-suspended due to the various conditions involved. In general, values for wall-mounted or vertical installations should be one third that of a horizontal installation. A ceiling-suspended installation would be around half that of a horizontal installation.

Steel balls are used for these products because a V-groove and cross roller guide would create a difference in the rolling locus, which could cause slipping. Slipping could also cause retainer misalignment issues. When a V-groove and steel balls are combined, our proprietary guide mechanism eliminates retainer misalignment caused by slipping.

The travel amount is 75 mm with the center of the stage as the home position, so a total travel amount of 150 mm would be possible.

Prior to shipment, we check the pre-home in the motor axis CW travel direction, and then perform adjustment to detect the home position sensor. For details, please see the instruction manual.

The maximum value for positioning accuracy would be 0.025° when measuring the position at 360° in 30° units and including accumulation. We do not have exact measurements for the measurement error when feeding, but it would be a value smaller than 0.025°.

It can be installed vertically as long as it is used within its load capacity (including the unbalanced load). However, installing it vertically will increase the load on the worm and gear and make it more susceptible to abrasion. We therefore recommend using it with the motor and gear facing upward.

The transmission hole is φ10.2, so the tolerance would be the general tolerance ±0.2 mm.

There are no specifications regarding the outer diameter accuracy of the table surface.

A spigot joint cannot be used to center the rotation. An easy way to determine the center of rotation would be to observe it using a camera.

Rotation center accuracy is not affected by the motor. You would instead need to either increase accuracy mechanically or change the mechanism.

Grease used in the product can be replaced with clean grease. However, we cannot guarantee Class 100 compatibility.

If you are looking for standard products, both TARS-936-HP and TARS-136-HP support this through segmenting with micro-stepping. An encoder could also be installed as a special order if you require repeatability.

These products have incompatible installation pitches, so a separate installation adapter would need to be fabricated.

We recommend that cables be extended only up to 5 m. A longer cable would reduce motor torque, and it would no longer be possible to guarantee operation or positioning accuracy.

Load capacity is the weight that can be installed on a table surface. A load of 2 kgf or greater could damage the motor or cause positioning accuracy defects due to a structural issue with the stage.

This would require wiring the motor and sensor, and it would no longer be possible to guarantee operation. We therefore recommend sending it to the factory for recombination.

This is the smallest type available for this series as a standard product.

The standard travel amount of TATS-130-HP is ±15°. Although there is some variation, the position of the limit sensor is aligned at around ±16°. One means of setting the travel amount to ±18° would be to change the position of the dog. However, operation cannot be guaranteed if the travel amount is expanded.

This product uses a stepper motor, and nothing is stated in the stage specifications with regard to operation at constant speed. You might consider driving with micro-stepping as a means to drive this smoothly.

The resolution listed in the catalog indicates the value when at full step.

There would be no impact on accuracy even if the micro-stepping specification was selected.

This is normal. The motor is structured to turn back against the axis.

Any connector from any manufacturer can be connected, as long as it is a high-density D-sub 15-pin female connector.

0.004° is the result of dividing one step (0.72°) of the stepper motor by the 180 worm gear teeth. One rotation of the motor would be two degrees.

AFE-CA grease (THK CO., LTD.) is used on the ball screw area, while AFF grease (THK CO., LTD.) is used on the guide rails and bearings.

AFF grease (THK CO., LTD.) is used on the worm gear area, while AFF grease (THK CO., LTD.) is used on the bearings. Improper greasing (using the wrong amount or method) could case stage defects. We recommend returning the product for repair rather than doing this on your own.

This can be done using a special order. However, the travel amount limit would be ±176° for TARS-136-HP (added limit sensor specification). TARS-6036-GM (added limit sensor specification) can be fabricated with a travel amount of ±95°.

A wedge (a part with an inclination angle) is moved in the horizontal direction (motor axis) to perform lifting/lowering in the vertical direction. The wedge provides a 1 mm screw lead in the horizontal direction with a travel ratio of 1:2 in the vertical direction, so the travel amount would be 0.5 mm per single rotation of the motor.

A worm gear is used in the horizontal direction (motor axis). Its dynamic force is transmitted to the rack & pinion in the vertical direction, which results in lifting/lowering. The travel amount would be 0.5 mm per single rotation of the motor.
