Double Row High-speed Ball Bearing with Superior Features

Pivot bearings using rollers as rolling elements have been used for years in a variety of applications such as rotary tables for machining centers, joints for industrial robots and speed reducers. Recently, however there have been demands for more powerful pivot bearings in order to meet the increased demands.

In response, THK introduces the new High-speed ball bearing BWH, a high-performance, high-rigidity double-row angular contact ball bearing.

By using a cage in the BWH angular contact ball bearing, the balls run in a uniformly aligned manner. In addition to better running characteristics at high-speed, the BWH ball bearing offers stable and even movement with less heat generation compared to roller bearings. The ball bearing also achieves a similarly high level of rigidity and concentricity as roller bearings with the same load ratings in all directions.

Easy Installation

Since the bearing is supplied with an appropriate preload from the factory it is not necessary to adjust the preload. In addition, the mounting holes on the inner and outer ring of the bearing allow easy assembly without special retaining plates.

The series BWH currently includes sizes with internal diameters of 100, 120 and 200 mm with models with larger diameters planned to be added in the near future.
